The Lane Cove Historical Society

Since 1962, the Lane Cove Historical Society (LCHS) has been researching the history and heritage of life on the North Shore.

Its charter includes collecting and managing artefacts and memorabilia representing life in Lane Cove.

LCHS curates the museum at Carisbrook Historic House, a State-heritage listed building in Lane Cove.

As the heart of history in our community, LCHS is a dedicated group of people working together to celebrate, record, and protect the stories of our past for future generations to explore and enjoy.

LCHS works to safeguard our local heritage, from our beautiful historic buildings to our precious natural landscapes.

Beyond conservation, we bring history to life through local research, engaging community events, and our prestigious annual Lane Cove History Prize.
