Gardens

The gardens themselves are well worth a visit. There is a walled back court yard and a front garden with lawn. On the eastern side, ancient sandstone pathways and steps lead you down to the water’s edge of Burns Bay and into Linley Park (originally part of Carisbrook Estate). This area has a mysterious past and was once called Murdering Bay.

The gardens have evolved into a lush and tranquil space that reflects the taste of the many owners of Carisbrook over generations. Today, it is beautifully maintained by the local Council.
