Gardens
The gardens themselves are well worth a visit. There is a walled rear court yard and a front garden with lawn. On the eastern side, hand-hewn sandstone pathways and steps lead you down to the water’s edge of Burns Bay and into Linley Park (originally part of Carisbrook Estate). This area has a mysterious past and was once called Murdering Bay.
The gardens have evolved into a lush and tranquil space that reflects the taste of the many owners of Carisbrook over generations. Today, it is beautifully maintained by the local Council.
